"We live in a market and if my purchasing power is half that of the next guy then that sucks"

Let me reframe the question for you:
You have two choices:

[1] Live in Budapest, Hungary with an annual income of $50,000. Your purchasing power will easily be many times that of your neighbors, but luxuries like an Infinity G35 are just out of your reach.
[2] Live in Palo, Alto, California, making $100,000 a year.

Your quality of life in Palo, Alto will be much better, but your income is just not going to measure up to your neighbors.

what does your wife's fortune mean? My boyfriend and I were just at dinner this evening, argueing over our usual and I received your wife's fortune. His was focus less on yourself and more on others. I was trying to figure out what mine meant? thank you

Hey easy in the tie video websites. BTW can you tie a Pratt knot, if not I'll send you a free link to my site, http://www.how-to-tie-a-tie-video.com/
As far as that survey I can't imagine how one can hold constant the notion that “assuming prices remained the same”... it doesn't make sense. We live in a market and if my purchasing power is half that of the next guy than that sucks, having said that i get your drift but the question is bogus

The guy at fourhourworkweek is an awesome guy though. I can tie a mean windsor, and I will only ever need to for wedding's and funerals (hopefully).

As for my work attire, it's jeans and polo's all the way. Hey Brent, I don't know if I told you, but I got a job at AMD, also I'm done with school. Check my page for all my updates!

I've gotten to where I don't even bother with ebay, I put stuff up on craigslist for a few days, if no one wants it, then I throw it on the free stuff section, set it out by the street, and it's gone pretty darn quickly. My old roommate put up a free posting for a couch, with specific instructions (it was hidden out of view behind a dumpster), no more than 10 minutes later, some people in a truck came by to get the couch. We yelled out the window "Craigslist?" and they yelled back "Yep!"

Instead of worrying about recycling computers and computer monitors (yes you should recycle them). Put them up on craigslist and they will be gone before you can blink.

If I could sum up the theme of the movie in one sentence, it would be: “The struggle against mortality is the struggle against life.” In all three story lines, Tom is reborn, once as a tree, once as a star and once in a moment of clarity and acceptence. This moment of clarity is the turning point of all three stories, and are beautifully packaged together in the Zen like moment that occurs when levitating bubble Tom meets the Mayan preist.

The movie is slow and sad, but the impact of the movie is outstanding.
